For over twenty years, as a “virtual general counsel”, Nemer’s practice has been exclusively focused on the in-house legal needs of early to mid-stage technology companies. Prior, he was corporate legal counsel for NewBridge Networks (Alcatel and now Nokia).
As general counsel, Nemer handled all corporate legal requests and outsource work when necessary. Companies he works with benefit from real time practical legal advice and expertise. His areas of practice include technology law, intellectual property, corporate and securities, commercial and employment law with a core expertise in negotiating and closing technology contracts (software licensing, hardware sale, technology transfer, reseller, joint venture, joint development, distribution etc.) on a global basis.
License agreements with Global Fortune 1000 companies in Asia, Europe and North America form the core of his licensing practice. Nemer has negotiated and concluded license agreements in Canada, the US, Asia (mainly Japan, China, India, HK and Singapore) and Europe (mainly UK, Germany, France and Scandinavia).
