Steven Woods
Steven Woods is the Senior Engineering Director at Google, responsible for representing Google in Canada's tech community, and managing Google's overall engineering operations in Waterloo, Ontario.

Steven is a Canadian entrepreneur, and is best known for co-founding Quack.com, the first popular voice portal platform, in 1998. After selling Quack.com to AOL in 2000, Steven co-founded and built NeoEdge Networks- a leading in-game advertising company.

Steven has extensive experience in all aspects of software development, and has held a variety of roles at the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, Australia’s CSIRO and Canada’s Department of National Defence. Steven has received numerous awards, and authored numerous patents, technical publications and books. Steven holds Masters and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo in Canada.
